Mr. Rogers Encouraged My News Career
- My favorite memory of Mr. Rogers is the many field trips he'd take us on during Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. One, in particular, stuck with me into adulthood: the newspaper. Mr. Rogers showed children how the newspaper was made, from the reporters who wrote the stories to the printing engineers who ensured the efficient production of the daily newspaper. I will never forget Mr. Roger's contribution to my career, for years later, I find myself as a journalist after watching his show all these years later. Thank you, Mr. Rogers, for your dedication to children and their dreams! You were always my favorite neighbor!
