my research
- hello everyone. I'm doing research on internet saftey as a school project and theese stories sond really sad. I hope that this website will raise awareness with victims and bullies alike that cyberbullying can completely ruin a person's life, and I am going to do a campaign now to help stop it.

pork pie
- I'm 12 years old and there are these girls at my school and one of them is now my mate but probably not for long. At this time all 3 girls hated me, I dunno why.One night I was on msn and one started calling me pork pie cos I'm quite big. Then the 2 other girls joined in and it made me feel hurt and upset and the next day at school they were all whispering looking and laughing at me and shouting oy pork pie. So when you have read my story I hope it makes you think twice about bullying cos it does hurt. Maybe not on the outside but it hurts on the inside...x

jack is not real
- Some girls at my school said they knew this guy named "Jack". My friend Suzy chatted with "Jack" on Myspace alot. Then Suzy and "Jack" got in a fight. Suzy said she hated him. Then Suzy found out that "Jack" committed suicide. She was very upset and thought it waz her fault. Then the girls told her that "Jack" was fake and was never a real person. They had just made him up on Myspace. So for five months Suzy had been chatting and liking "Jack" but he turned out to be a fake. (btw these names aren't real names)

Bebo comments
- About 8 weeks ago i added one of my old school friends, then she came on saying oh I dont know you and started calling me fat and everything. Then someone who is like popular in my year stuck up for me and that was to her own mates. They were saying I have no mates and that I like HSM(high school musical). But the person who stuck up for me said so what if she likes it so what and if they have a problem with it so what.

Anonymous Caller - Why?
- In schoolim not the most popular kid in classes.Ive got friends. I dont get made fun of. Im pretty ok. But everyday after school i text and call people. Everyday i get restricted calls and anonymous chatango messages.I know who it is. I dontknow how to get her to stop though! Shes making fun of me in front of her friends. Then expects to me hang out with her orgo to the library or something. But im not the only girl she does this to...she does it to a bunch of other people too. Imsick of her but i dont know if i should stop being her friend. Ive told my parents and they say ignore it. But how can i ignore it if she just keeps on calling. You cant block restricted numbers or chat messages. I wish she could just leave me alone. Ive had thoughts on revenge. But i know thats rong and i could never do that to my friend! But i cant take it anymore. She would call up and i would hear laughing...it hurts me and i really wish she would stop being a jerk and STFU!!!!!!! -T14

Still Being Harrassed
- I'm an adult woman, who made the silly mistake of making friends on myspace. I was always careful not to give too much personal details. One of the friends was always threatening to commit suicide & I tried to talk him though it. We became friends, and from the outset I had always told him I was only interested in him as a friends & that I was unavailable. He formed an unhealthy attachment to me and each day would complain if I hadn't emailed him. So I stopped, with a brief explanation telling him I was busy & would prefer no further contact. This was around 6 months ago. He has continued to harrass daily with multiple emails, mimics me on social network sites and he even said that he wished I would die and that he was coming to my country. I have lost all enjoyment of the internet, and I am preparing for a house move as I suspect he may know where I live as perhaps he has somehow hacked my computer. I don't know what to do.

Mean Kids At School
- I'm 13 years old and I'm in the seventh grade. About a week ago there was this girl in my grade who posted this comment on facebook and it said that I was really annoying. When I confronted her about it, she said "I don't know what you're talking about." The comment is still there and I am left upset. Kids in middle school find it cool and funny to insult other kids. I just go along with it and "laugh", but deep down I feel sad. A lot of kids like to make fun of me and I've gotten some mean texts from kids in my class. I don't know what there problems are, but I wish they would leave me alone or at least be nice to me.

How to Deal...
- My family recently had to deal with a cyber bully. My son has had an ongoing problem with two particular class members. They were not former friends and did not know eachother until sixth grade. One of the boys lives in our nieghborhood and occassionally will cause problems during school breaks. This summer he located our son on MySpace and decided to start sending threats of being attacked when school started, mexican mafia and other scenarios. We acted promptly the same evening they began, by printing the messages (both sides) and contacting the police. They took copies contacted the family and added the information to the boys record. Here are the additional steps they had us take. 1. Inform them that the authorities are being contacted.2. Do not coax further contact from them. 3. Make three copies of messages *Keep one on file *Provide one to the police *and on to your childs school principal for their records This way an evidence file is created for future use if needed.

I was stupid and lived to tell the tale.
- I did something stupid at 16. I contacted a reality show contestant, got accused of stalking her, then people spread my name across forums/sites to insult me. 7-8 years later, this makes me shudder to realize my stupidity.

Resist
- I was a victim of cyberbullying. It saddens me to see and read stories about people who have committed suicide because of this. But I believe we, as teens, can get through it with resistance and courage. Sharing each others' stories and letting our voices be heard. I am a teen writer at RadicalParenting.com which is a parenting blog from the kid's perspective there are 60 teen and tween writers run by teen author, Vanessa Van Petten.

New Hope
- I asked some of our students about cyber bullying and was surprised to discover that a lot of it is caused by boredom and the fact that it "is" possible to send messages to one another. An increasing number of the kids now use Waliwali.com because the only thing it allows them to do is say hello (in English and other languages). I'm not sure if it's primarily aimed at kids, but I like the fact that it promotes positive message exchange. Something our kids need to relearn. Dolph

High school drama
- I remember a few years ago when I was in high school. There was this girl kinda like the girl that everyone wanted to be friends with. We became good friends then oneday I saw her going through a girl's bag in class and I gave her a look as to say what are you doing?? Then after class she was like don't ever look at me like that again!! Then we stopped talking and she took all my friends away..Then oneday my friend came up to me and said I got to tell you something. She's like well umm there's this picture of you online..and it's pretty bad. I wasn't expecting what I saw. When I got home she sent it too me and it was a picture of three obese people have sexing and the person wrote my name then my mom's name and dad's name. I was shocked and devasted. Worse, was that there were more picture the other one was an actual picture of me that was altered. It got pretty bad. I didn't want to go to school then my dad found out and went to the principal with it.

Scared at home
- I'm an adult woman and had a falling out with a cyber friend. She was banned from the site I'm on, but she has gotten back on using a different name. It has been confirmed it is her, but not enough proof for the admin to ban her again. She make subtle references to let me know it is her. And I can tell you, even as an adult I feel violated in my own home. I'm uncomfortable on the site now and don't know how or if I should respond to her. This is not just a problem for children. It has happened on two sites I have belonged to and it's very frustrating not to be able to do anything about it.
