This corresponding website to Highlights Magazine is a true gem. Aimed at kids through age 14, it will probably hold the most appeal for kids from 5-10. The site has many of the favorite features from the magazine, including interactive "hidden pictures" puzzles, comics, arts and crafts and games.

Edheads
Edheads is a science learning site focusing on concepts such as biology, physics and meteorology. If it sounds boring, it's not. You can take on the role of a police detective to explore the scene of a car accident. You can don some virtual scrubs to perform a virtual hip replacement or knee surgery. Or, you can attempt to forecast the weather. Each activity comes with support materials for educators and parents.
