Guide Review - Speed Racer Comic Book Creator 2
Comic Book Creator is easy to start with. Load the program and start a new project. You can specify a title, number of pages and what template to start with. From there, it’s just a matter of dragging and dropping background pictures, clip art, word balloon, animation and sound into the appropriate panels. Enter in your text and you’re ready to print your comic book or publish it to the web. It’s just that simple.
Although this version of Comic Book Creator comes with a great library of Speed Racer backgrounds, clip art, animations and fonts, you aren’t limited to those. Import your own artwork to create a comic book or comic strip. Or, you can use pictures and make collages of your family and friends. Since the software comes with PD Particles, a powerful drawing/editing program, and sound recorder/editor, Audacity, there’s no limit to your creativity.
My biggest complaint about Comic Book Creator is that the navigation is non-intuitive. File navigation, in particular, is not what you’d expect from Windows software. I also had some difficulty with the integration of the image editor, but that may have been due to my installation.
If you’ve got a kid who’s always drawing comic strips, comic books or other graphic novels, this software will be a hit. But it’s not just for the comic-inspired. The variety of templates makes this a wonderful choice for creating photo books, collages and other photo layouts for gifts or special occasions.
Speed Racer Comic Book Creator 2 is just one of the creative options available from Planetwide Media. There are also other versions of the software (at a variety of price points) with different themes such as pets, Charlotte’s Web, and National Geographic Kids.
