Guide Review - A Review of Blogging All-in-One for Dummies

Blogging All-in-One for Dummies has a bold name. Blogging goes beyond writing a post now and again. You'll need to think about your topic, choose a blogging platform, and figure out how to get up and running. There are decisions to make. Will you buy a domain? Use guest bloggers? Include advertising? How do you promote the blog? Will you host giveaways? Should you participate in social media? The questions go on and on. Somehow, author Susan Gunelius manages to take the reader from initial concept to savvy blogger in just one densely packed guide. I've been blogging since 2001 and I found plenty of great nuggets of information included.

The danger of tackling such a broad subject matter is that you risk not delving deep enough to put the ideas into practice. With clear and direct writing, Gunelius provides plenty of details, examples and even some step-by-step tech information. You won't get that much hand-holding on every topic, but you'll get it where it most counts. She may not show you how to edit a video, for example, but you'll be able to set up a blog on one of three top platforms.

If you're looking to start a new blog, or you're wondering how to progress with a blog you already have up and running, I would recommend Blogging All-in-One for Dummies. It will serve you well as a guide early on, and continue to help out as a reference as you grow.
