E for Everyone ESRB Rating

By , About.com Guide

An E or "Everyone" rating from the ESRB signifies software and games that are family friendly. They are appropriate in content for everyone over the age of 6. Since the E rating is a general catch-all rating, the software is frequently appropriate for younger children as well. E rated games may have mild cartoon violence or language. Most families will not object to the content in the games, but it's always a good idea to preview them first.
