Have you always wanted to create your own Wizard of Oz moment and send an object flying into the air? If so, the "Into the Tornado" simulator from The Weather Channel is what you've been waiting for. Choose an object (including a pig, train, tree or crash test dummy), set your point of view and your wind speed and let the tornado fly. The simulator will let you know just how far the object went. Once you've tried it out once or twice, you can use what you have learned to make a hypothesis about how far the object will go at a different wind speed. As an added bonus, you can leave a question for the on-site expert. This activity is appropriate and fun for all ages, but will hold more educational value for older kids.
