verbatim - Mom Musings

Thursday March 19, 2009

verbatim is the type of blog you get from a parent who has slightly older kids. Karen's updates include piano lessons and going candlepin bowling, stuff my family isn't ready for just yet. Still, I enjoy the "down-home" feeling of things. And, after all, most of us can relate to those days when it seems that everything in your house has broken down.

Karen was kind enough to group two big categories of posts for us so we can take a quick look. The first is for recipes, of which there are nearly 200. The one that caught my eye is called Crispy Carnitas. Mmm. The second is movie reviews (well over 200 there). She has a wide range of selections from Kung Fu Panda to  Children of Men. And in between all of those delicious dinners and fun movies, her family has time to argue about how to spend their day.

verbatim is a wonderful blog for parents of 'tweens and people who love to read, watch movies and eat. That should cover just about everyone! While you're there, take a moment to read what Karen has to say about why she uses Twitter. It's a good description of the social aspects of the platform.
