Miss Britt: Dignity is Overrated
Miss Britt is chock-full of raw honesty. It is, subsequently, one of the least kid-friendly of the 10 Great Mom Blog group. She curses, she talks about body parts, and if that bothers you, you'll want to move on. Of course, you'll be missing out on a really fantastic blog.
Miss Britt writes about whatever happens to be going on in her life. The result is some touching and emotional post about her family. My favorite post is a birthday gift to her daughter. She also shares with us some of the doubts she's had about her marriage and lets us experience a virtual conversation with her husband. No need to worry about their marriage, however, as her husband is clearly very much in love with her.
One of the reasons that Miss Britt strikes such a nerve with other bloggers is that she's candid about the importance of blogging in her life. When her family moved to Florida from Iowa, fellow bloggers made her feel welcome and became her extended family. Despite that popularity, Miss Britt still experiences the same frustrations, doubts and insecurities as other bloggers. If you're a blogger, you'll identify.
If I had to choose just one favorite thing about Miss Britt, it's that she says the sort of thing most people are thinking, but don't have the nerve to say.

Awww – thank Christy!
You know, I think “family friendly” should be identified as “family members under 18 and over 80″. My mom and dad read my blog! (Just not grandma or the kids.) LOL
I agree, Miss Britt’s blog is a very good one, I was delighted to discover it, even if I did have to go to some of the internet’s very dark places to get there!
Miss Britt is a whole lot of awesome.
Miss Britt – you’re right. I changed it to “kid-friendly.”
