Reading with Callapidder Days
In case it's not obvious from my numerous posts this month, I am a huge proponent of reading. I love to read, and I love to read to my kids. So, as I was on the hunt to share 10 Great Mom Blogs with you, it is not surprising that I would latch on to Callapidder Days as a favorite. In addition to sharing some wonderful book reviews, Katrina hosts biannual "reading challenges" where she encourages us to commit to reading to ourselves and to our kids. [Hint: The next one starts on March 20, 2009]
Reading is just one of the many things Katrina is interested in and she explores a wide range of topics in her blog. She shares everything from how she creates special Christmas memories to her tips on managing housecleaning if you're just not that into it. I think my favorite thing about Callapidder Days (other than the adorable caterpillar in her header) is that Katrina is so open with her quirks. You can't help but feel better when others share that they talk to themselves (ok, I do occasionally as well) or when they declare that they are insane.
One interesting bit of trivia about Katrina: She has experienced a straight-from-the-source electric shock on at least two occasions in her life. She's either very lucky or very unlucky! To find out how luck you are, you can enter Katrina's Tag Reader Giveaway at Callapidder Days .
