Parenting by Trial and Error

Sunday March 15, 2009

When it came time for us to leave the hospital with our first child, I remember thinking that they were insane to give us such a helpless little person to care for. From that moment on, we called on the childcare experience we did have and we winged it for the rest. If that sounds like you, you'll enjoy the 3rd must-read parenting blog, Parenting by Trial and Error.

Sarah is a mom to four kids, two 10-year-old twin girls and five and six-year old sons. She tackles some very common issues, like which kids get their own rooms, and how to handle early video game addiction (we've "lost" a few things in our house as well). One of my favorite posts is about the balance between keeping a clean house, working from home and spending time with the kids.

In Parenting by Trial and Error, Sarah captures the essence of parenting. It's about the good times, the power struggles, and the heart-wrenching moments when you realize you love your kids more than life itself. This is a blog I'd recommend as a reality check to someone who wants to have kids, as well as a you-are-not-alone message to someone who's already deep in the trenches.
