Changing Times, Changing Etiquette?

There is no doubt that email and electronic tools are changing the way we communicate with each other. Do you think it can go too far? Let's take the basic thank you note as an example. Many people send thank you notes after receiving a gift. Some don't. Please feel free to comment on your answer as well.

When it comes to thank you notes, I will admit I am terrible. Even though I like to get the personal note (card), I would like to receive or send an email thank-you rather than no thank-you at all.
