Nostalgia Abounds at the Rosetta Project

There is no shortage of children's books available today. In fact, the sheer volume of them can be overwhelming for a parent looking for a good story for his or her kids. But what about all of those old books? The ones your parents or grandparents read as a child? They often aren't "appropriate" by today's standards, but it can be fun to take a look back. You can now visit some of the earliest children's books ever published at Children's Books Online from The Rosetta Project.

You can view all of the pages online for free, or download them for an additional fee. Please remember that the books on the site were written in a different time, and may no longer be socially appropriate in today's climate. As with anything for children, it's always wise to preview them before introducing them to your kids.
