Recycle That Old Computer

When your family makes a decision to buy a new computer, you may end up wondering what to do with the old one. It might make a great computer for an older relative, a school, or a young child. If you can't come up with someone, don't just toss the machine. There are plenty of buy-back, donation, and recycling programs for older machines. Keep them out of the landfill!

Great topic, especially for those of us who have their last 5 hard drives still hanging about taking up closet space.

Staples started accepting computers, printers, scanner, and other computer equipment for recycling about 6 months ago. It’s a $5 fee per piece. Not free like some other programs, but pretty convenient since Staples are everywhere.

No TVs, at least not yet.
